Make Your Own Taco Seasoning

Make your own homemade taco seasoning.

I love this home made taco seasoning for 2 reasons. It doesn't have any added chemicals or fillers and I like the flavor so much better.  It's an easy way to omit chemical fillers and preservatives that are in most store bought versions. Just throw all the ingredients in a jar and then shake to mix. Easy peasy.

5 Tbs chili powder
3 Tbs sea salt (I use Himalayan pink)
3 Tbs ground cumin
2 Tbs ground oregano
4 tsps onion powder
4 tsp. smoked paprika (can substitute with regular paprika)
2 tsps cayenne pepper (more or less depending on if you like it more mild or hot)

1/2 tsp black pepper

Mix all ingredients in jar. Use approx 1 Tb per pound of meat or more or less to taste. Store sealed jar in pantry.
